PALLET LABELLING MADE EASY TO INCREASE PRODUCTION
Pallet Labelling System
Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) is one of the largest bottlers of non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverages and one of the world’s top five Coca-Cola bottlers accessing more than 265 million consumers in the Asia-Pacific region.
CCA, in an effort to automate the pallet labelling system (A Supply-Chain solution), right from Production work order to updating finished goods inventory, it has put across challenge to integrate with different software systems like SAP, Warehouse management system (WMS), AS400, hardware devices like industrial printers, scanners.
The solution was developed by following the Enterprise Application (EAI) Integration architecture guidelines. Implemented through Microsoft .NET and Windows mobile technologies, it integrated with SAP to download work orders, Printers to print labels, scanners to scan the label barcodes for goods receipting.
- A single application for label printing, scanning and back flushing
- Decommissioning of existing Label printing and scanning system
- Integration with Industry production printers of type Imaje, Matthews, Visy and Datamax printers for label printing
- Implementation of scanning through in-line Sick scanner and mobile hand held MC7596 / MC 9596 Motorola EDA devices for full goods receipt and communicating the same to server.
- Integration with SAP, AS400 through MQ Series for back flushing of Inventory and finished goods.
- Development and implementation of Multi-Threading and queuing.
- Implementation of Model View Presenter (MVP) architecture in Microsoft .NET 3.5 Framework.
- Implementation of Wi-Fi, 3G and GPRS network communication
